4 Tips For Good Scalp Health

Curly, straight, dark or light. No matter what type of hair you have, you sure want to have incredible hair, with that shampoo commercial effect, right?⁣ ⁣

Know that with some care it is possible to have light, loose, shiny, healthy and beautiful locks!⁣ ⁣ The secret is in the scalp.

Hair grows from the scalp, therefore, it inherits everything good or bad. If your scalp is excessively greasy and constantly dirty, there will be no miracle products or cuts that will give you healthy hair. ⁣ ⁣

Tip 01:⁣ ⁣

When washing, ask yourself: “when was the last time I washed my hair?”. If the answer is "this morning" or even "yesterday", STOP! Washing your hair too often is not healthy for the scalp. Excessive water on the scalp, leaves it dry. That's right! A dose of natural oil on the scalp is vital to keep it hydrated. The shampoo removes this beneficial sebum, leaving it dry and lifeless!⁣ ⁣

Tip 02:⁣

Never, under any circumstances, wash your hair with hot water. Hot water stimulates the sebaceous glands of the scalp. Different from what tip 01 says, about natural oil beneficial to the skin, hot water will cause the scalp to produce excess oil. This can clog the follicles, hindering the growth of new, healthy hair. In addition, hot water opens the hair cuticle, leaving it exposed and susceptible to external damage.⁣

⁣Tip 03:⁣ ⁣

Don't fall for that "I'll leave just a bit of conditioner so my hair looks better" The accumulation of products at your roots can also clog the pores. Always rinse the shampoo thoroughly and apply conditioners and styling creams only on the length and ends. There is no point in leaving product in the hair, it will only weigh the hair down and make it fragile, instead of healthy and strong as one may think.⁣

Tip 04:⁣ ⁣

If you are not adept to let your hair dry naturally, when using a hairdryer, keep the dryer at least 6in from the scalp. Once heat damage is created there will be no product capable of mitigating the damage. ⁣
